American Trading International, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Export Accounts Coordinator/Assistant to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.



American Trading International, Inc. (ATI) is a 35 employee / $50 million operation exporting USA food and beverages to over 80 markets worldwide. Beautiful Westside office with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, friendly atmosphere, with multi-cultural / multi-lingual staff, looking for long-term growth/career minded individuals.

 

Responsibilities:

• Works with project/account managers in development of private labels, including specifying stocks, inks, die-lines and appropriate project details.
• Working with external private label and brand customers, printers and preferred pre-press suppliers, and facilitates the accurate and timely development and printing of packaging
• Analyze market trends, as well as customer needs to identify strategic new business development opportunities
• Performs press checks and reviews proofs and die lines as appropriate, and verifies packaging information
• Lead press approvals with printers and customers, negotiating when needed
• Maintains and archives electronic files,
• Produces and assembles mock-ups,
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 2-3 years’ of relevant work experience


Candidate Must:

• Working knowledge of different types of printing: flexo, rotogravure and litho
• Strong knowledge of pre-press, proofing systems and packaging substrates
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changes as they occur
• Excellent time management
• Ability to multi-task and juggle several projects
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop & MS Office
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• Forward thinking and able to issue spot the needs of the overall department and senior management

• Positive and personable demeanor while multi-tasking and working with time sensitive processes

• An advantage will be given to candidates who:
– Possess high degree of proficiency in Adobe and Photoshop
– Speak a foreign language / multiple foreign languages
