American Trading International, Inc. (ATI) is a 45 employee / $50 million operation exporting USA food and beverages to over 80 markets worldwide. Beautiful Westside office with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, friendly atmosphere, with multi-cultural / multi-lingual staff, we are currently looking for long-term growth/career minded individuals. We are hiring for an International Sales Manager who will be responsible to cover multiple areas in the company including manufacturers, customers, leads, and potentially, trade shows for a specific defined region(s).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible manage, drive, and increase sales performance of department.
  • Oversee sales team and provide guidance on how to grow and manage sales portfolio of top customers and potential new ones.
  • Strategize and develop international customer and sales department initiatives to increase sales volume and ensure accountability.
  • Oversee the training program, training timeline, holding trainers accountable; also oversee ongoing education of existing staff.
  • Analyze Trade Event participation and Return on Investment as a result from participating in that show; accountable for overall sales team Trade Show performance post show.
  • Responsible for Policy, Procedure, and Human Resources of the sales team. ISM will be responsible for HR related situations. This includes but is not limited to: issues between team members, performance improvement plans, write ups, documentation, sales suggestions/complaints, employee reviews, accountability, PTO, etc.
  • Analyze strategy and timing for trade shows, events, and overseas customer visits.
  • Oversee transaction and sales export documentation for orders.
  • Trade Shows/Missions attendance to source new business and support existing business.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of sales management experience
  • Passion for International Trade and Global Affairs
  • Proven Sales Performance & ability to increase sales
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • Fluent (Native level) in at least one other language
  • Permanent Resident, U.S. Citizen, or already on a Work Visa
  • Ability to speak in publicly and comfortably in front of groups of people

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • 8 years of working experience
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Sales experience in the food and beverage industry and/or International Sales

  • Have a positive and personable demeanor while multi-tasking and working with time sensitive processes
  • Have excellent organization and verbal communication skills
  • Able to Follow-Up / Follow Through without having to be reminded
  • Have working knowledge in MS Office, Windows, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop

  • An Advantage Will Be Given to Candidates Who:

  • Possess high degree of proficiency in SAP or other CRM software
  • Speak multiple foreign languages
