American Trading International, Inc. (ATI) is seeking an experienced Private Label Coordinator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.

ATI has recently expanded our beautiful Westside office and is looking for sharp, smart, like-minded individuals to help take us to the next level!

ATI is a 20 year old Los Angeles, CA based export trading company specialized in USA food & beverage products, both branded and private label. We are currently seeking to fill a new position in our fast growing, dynamic work environment. ATI is a 50 employee / $50 million operation exporting to over 80 markets worldwide. We take pride in our state-of-the-art facilities, resources, friendly atmosphere, with a multi-cultural / multi-lingual staff speaking more than 20 languages. We now also operate on SAP.


Job Description:

The Private Label Coordinator will be working hands-on with manufacturers, customers, graphic artists and printers from around the globe. Responsible for managing, controlling and tracking private label brand packaging throughout the product formulation process, artwork development, pre-press process and print execution. Presenting the customer with mock up products and finished products as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate artwork creation and revision with graphic designers, private label brand customers, pre-press, printers and product manufacturers
• Performs artwork proof-reading and press checks
• Coordinates artwork review and approval with customers, graphic designers, and product manufacturers
• Ensure and confirm artwork compliance with international regulations and product formulation specifications
• Work with product manufacturers on formulation options and specifications
• Maintain and archive electronic and printed artwork files
• Produce and assemble mockups
• Manage label and packaging inventory for multiple private labels
• Assist in forecasting and procuring printed labels and packaging
• Assist in the negotiation of printing quotes and contracts
• Analyze market trends, as well as customer needs to identify strategic new development opportunities
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing and logistics departments

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Interest in International Trade and Global Affairs
• Minimum 1-year relevant experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Strong Project Management skills
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop & MS Office
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes as they occur
• Experience with SAP Software
